$91,702 - $104,753 + 10% BDCP + up to 15.4% Superannuation Fairbairn - ACT The Role
The Joint Experimentation Directorate (JED) is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and adaptable individual to provide key support to the Vice Chief of the Defence Force (VCDF) and other sponsors in delivering the annual Joint Experimentation Program.
Our APS 6 Project Manager will work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work. They will exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures.
As the APS 6 Project Manager, you will work within a small team and be responsible for:

Managing a range of project activities. Managing budget and resource requirements. Managing legislative, policy, and regulatory framework compliance. This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. As APS 6 Project Manager, you will operate with independence to perform and achieve outstanding results supporting within a joint environment delivering experimentation projects in support of future force design.
Our ideal candidates will have:

Strong communication skills and experience working in a multi-disciplinary integrated workforce environment. A strong understanding of Joint Experimentation Program requirements is advantageous.
