The key duties of the position include:The Library is seeking to fill a non-ongoing Program Manager, Marketing & Media (APS6) role in the Communications & Marketing Section of the Engagement Branch. This is a non-ongoing opportunity until 18 July 2025, with the possibility of extension.
The Program Manager, Marketing & Media will bring up-to-date knowledge of the current Australian media landscape to the Communications and Marketing Section. They will be required to translate this knowledge into engaging content and strategies that capture the interest of the National Library's target audiences.
This role will be best suited to an enthusiastic self-starter who happily collaborates widely across the Library and external channels to promote the work of the National Library. This includes sharing in the work to monitor, analyse, report on, and respond to media coverage. The successful candidate will also develop and work to deliver marketing campaigns to support onsite and online activities. The ability to prioritise and maintain flexibility with your day-to-day workload will be an essential skill.
QualificationsQualifications or equivalent experience in communications & marketing are mandatory for the role.Experience in marketing and media management would be highly desirable.Applicants should be Australian citizens to be eligible for APS employment.
