An APS 6 Quality Assurance Officer with the DENG-A Proactive Assurance Team, working to the Deputy Director Proactive Assurance. This position will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex quality assurance work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to ensure they have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
An APS6 Quality Assurance Officer will work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work. They will exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures. They are expected to be capable of building team capability through coaching, feedback and developing the quality of work undertaken within the team. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
About our Team
The DENG-A Proactive Assurance Team engages:
Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group CASG Systems Program Office (SPO); Logistics Operations Branch (LOB) Joint Logistics Units (JLU); Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Group (GWEO); and Joint Capability Group (JCG). To undertake compliance audits that ensure processes for safe systems of work are enforced in accordance with the Organisations Engineering Management System and the Army Land Materiel Safety Manual (LMSM).

Our successful candidate will co-ordinate and perform quality assurance auditing and corporate reporting activities. They will build and sustain effective relationships with team members, management and stakeholders. They will provide detailed quality assurance professional advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, with a focus on auditor processes and procedures development within the team.
Job specific Lead Auditor and Defence Engineering and Maintenance system processes training and mentoring will be provided to the successful candidate. This position requires the candidate to maintain an Australian Government security clearance; the successful candidate may be able to start in the position with a Baseline Clearance with the expectation that a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance will be obtained after commencement.
