The OpportunityOn behalf of a Federal Government Agency based in Richmond, Geelong and Adelaide, we are looking for APS6 Policy Officers. This is a 12-month assignment. The role will be paying $60.26 per hour plus super.The APS6 Policy Officer will play an important role in shaping and implementing agency's reforms aimed at improving the lives of individuals with disabilities.Responsibilities include:Lead research and analysis to develop innovative policy solutions.Prepare and coordinate comprehensive policy advice and documentation.Draft policy, strategy, project, and corporate documents to support initiatives.Manage policy projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.Identify and address risks associated with reform initiatives and projects.Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate collaboration.Participate in co-design initiatives, workshops, and forums to gather insights and feedback.To be considered you will demonstrate:Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Understanding of the policy development process and its role in achieving outcomes.Experience in policy development, including preparing and reviewing policy papers, reports, presentations, and briefings.Knowledge and experience in the disability sector will be highly desirable.A relevant bachelor's degree.As this role is within the Federal Government, applications are required to hold Australian Citizenship in order to be considered.If you are interested in this role, please APPLY NOW, or call Mo at DFP Recruitment on 03 8632 9993 for more information.DFP welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people with disability.
