Our values reflect a passion and dedication to building a positive, stakeholder-centred culture.As an APS6 Policy Officer, you will play a key role in shaping policy and driving initiatives that contribute to ongoing agency reform. You will apply strategic problem-solving skills and manage complex issues, using sound judgement to develop and deliver informed policy advice. Your work will also involve collaborating with stakeholders through engagement and co-design activities, ensuring that policy outcomes are both practical and impactful.These will be 12-month labour hire contracts, with a strong possibility for renewal. These full-time positions offer a flexible, hybrid work environment, ensuring a great work-life balance. These roles are based across Richmond or Geelong, some in-office time is required.As this opportunity is with a Federal Agency, candidates must have Australian citizenship.Key ResponsibilitiesLeading research and analysis to develop policy.Preparing and coordinating policy advice.Drafting policy, strategy, project, and corporate documents.Managing policy projects.Identifying and addressing reform and project risks.Initiating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.Participating in co-design, workshops, and forums.The ideal candidate for these roles will demonstrate:Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Understanding of the policy development process and how it works to achieve outcomes.Policy development experience including contributing to preparing and reviewing policy papers, reports, presentations, briefings and correspondence.Candidates with an understanding and experience relating to the disability sector and market will be considered favourably.A relevant bachelor degree.Interested?
