APS6 Policy Officer – multiple vacancies in multiple locations $60.26 per hour + super12-month contractHybrid work arrangementsCanberra | Sydney | BrisbaneWeekly pay | Labour hireAbout the role: My client is seeking experienced APS6 policy officers for significant reforms and helping set the strategic direction for the supports and services provided under the Agency's scheme.
Duties may include: Managing policy projectsLead research and analysis to inform policy developmentWork with stakeholders and in teams to solve problemsDraft policy, strategy, and project documentsContribute to a positive team cultureAbout You: The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker and great communicator, with experience managing policy projects and coordinating policy. You will be a collaborator, who brings ideas and opportunities to policy problems, balancing risk and operational constraints. You will work independently, in teams and flexibly.
Our ideal candidates will have:
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsUnderstanding of the policy development process and how it works to achieve outcomes.Policy development experience including contributing to preparing and reviewing policy papers, reports, presentations, briefings and correspondenceCandidates with an understanding and experience relating to the disability sector and market will be considered favourably.A relevant bachelor's degreeWhat's in it for you: You will be shaping policy, and design and implementing important reforms.
