This is a great opportunity for multiple APS6 Policy officers to join this busy team for a long term 12-month temporary assignment.
These roles with direction, will engage in problem solving and issues management and exercise sound decision-making and judgement to produce policy advice.
It will help undertake engagement and co-design activities with stakeholders, including the disability community.
Duties may include: • Leading research and analysis to develop policy.
• Preparing and coordinating policy advice.
• Drafting policy, strategy, project, and corporate documents.
• Managing policy projects.
• Identifying and addressing reform and project risks.
• Initiating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
• Participating in co-design, workshops, and forums.
The Partners, Providers, and Home and Living Group at the Agency is seeking experienced APS 6 policy officers for significant reforms and helping set the strategic direction for the supports and services .
You will be shaping policy, and design and implementing important reforms.
You may work on: • Designing system navigation • Support coordination and streamlining plan management • Innovating home and living supports • Home and living policy reform and guidance • Co-design initiatives and trials • Shaping the Specialist Disability Accommodation market • Creating an efficient and stable market for disability supports.
Benefits: ·  ASAP start (pending Federal Police Clearance) ·  12-month temporary assignment with the possibility of extension ·  Full time hours Monday to Friday ·  Deakin, ACT location + hybrid working from home options.
