HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for a APS 6 Level Procurement & Budget Support Officer for a federal agency based in DEAKIN Canberra, ACT .
The successful candidate will assist in managing budgets, coordinating procurement activities, and providing key support for digital transformation projects.
The role offers a hybrid working environment and is ideal for those with a strong background in government procurement and financial management. Key Responsibilities: Assist in developing budget cost plans and forecasts to support programs. Analyse vendor budget requirements and provide financial insights for program decisions. Prepare reports and briefs for leadership teams within the Office of the CIO (OCIO). Ensure financial control to support optimal procurement decisions. Organise and schedule project meetings and workshops with stakeholders. Maintain accurate documentation, including meeting minutes and project reports. Support corporate systems procurement activities and assist in administrative tasks as needed. About You 3-4 year's experience in a similar role. Strong background in federal government procurement processes. Proficient in budgeting, with a high attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience in project coordination or business administration (desirable). Familiarity with SharePoint and Confluence (desirable). Eager to learn and adapt to new tools and methods. Please note you do need to be an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN for this Federal Government role.
You must also have the ability to obtain ir hold a BASELINE Security Clearance.
