APS Level 6 Sydney, New South Wales, Australia,Civic ACT,Melbourne VIC Non-Ongoing The People Services Team provides HR support and advice to managers and employees within the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission).
The Team provides a range of HR offerings including workplace relations, work health and safety, injury management and HR advisory services.
The People Services team works closely with other People teams that deliver recruitment, policy, diversity and inclusion, workforce planning, strategy and reporting along with other HR functions.
Responsibilities of the HR Advisor, Workplace Relations include, but are not limited to: Providing timely and accurate advice to staff, managers and executives regarding performance development and management, including support to respond to workplace behaviour matters within the work area Coordination of action in response to allegations of discrimination, harassment, bullying or victimisation, and other inappropriate behaviour Management of workplace behaviour complaints, performance management and performance improvement processes, and section 33 Reviews of actions Undertaking APS Code of Conduct investigations and supporting section 29 decisions under the Public Service Act 1999 (PS Act) Strategic case management of complex staffing matters Developing and delivering prevention activities such as provision of advice, preparation of policy, procedure tools and resources to support positive workplace behaviours Working closely with other HR teams, such as Work Health Safety, to provide seamless and quality HR advice and responses to employee matters.
This position is a temporary opportunity for 12 months and is opened to APS staff only.
