About the OpportunityAPS6 Finance Officer, approx 6-month contract with a strong possibility of renewal. This full-time position offers a flexible, hybrid work environment, ensuring a great work-life balance. The role is based in Geelong and some in-office time is required. About the RoleThese roles sit within the Finance and the Reporting teams.
The Finance team sits within the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Division. The Agency Budget and Financial Control Branch delivers strategic financial advice and valued financial management services throughout the Agency. It is responsible for the financial management of the Agency and Scheme and provides insightful financial reporting to support decision making.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform end-of-month reporting activities, including journal preparation and transaction analysis.
Assist with project budget allocations, forecasts, and financial analysis, ensuring data accuracy.
Engage with stakeholders and manage financial record accuracy through GL, cost centre, and PO reviews.
Produce reports and transform data into actionable insights for stakeholders with varied data literacy.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including automating reporting and writing operational documentation.
RequirementsAustralian Citizenship
Experience with SAP
Working with large volumes of financial data.
Attention to detail to ensure journals accurately reflect actuals.
Analysis skills to provide quality variance commentary.
Sourcing, transforming and interpreting data into actionable metrics and insights.
Producing a suit of reports, interpreting data, and analysing results using standard and complex statistical techniques.
Managing business and technical reporting including requirements, design, testing, training, and rollout.
