A new role awaits The Agency Budget and Financial Control Branch is currently seeking to fill an APS6 Finance Officer - External Budget position.
The External Budget and Costings team is responsible for the development and management of the agency's external budget and new policy proposal costing activities.
This includes calculation and entry of budget estimates, liaison across the agency and with external agencies, and preparation of the agency's external budget documentation (Portfolio Budget Statements).

Preparation and execution of external budget and reporting activities.Updating annual estimates and monthly profiles in alignment with Government's budget processes.Participating in liaison and negotiation with the Departments of Finance, Social Services, and other external stakeholders.Preparation of reporting to the Department of Finance.Developing team operating procedures and user guides.Enough about us, let's talk about you Our ideal applicants will have a good understanding of financial governance frameworks and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to financial policies, regulations, and audit guidelines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with senior leaders and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and has highly developed stakeholder engagement skills.
You will need to hold CA/CPA qualifications and be able to provide these at the application stage.
