The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability.
A new role awaits Looking for a rewarding career journey in the field of finance? The Agency Budget and Financial Control Branch is currently seeking to fill an APS6 Finance Business Partner position.
The Finance Business Partnering Portfolio team is responsible for providing finance partnering services to the business as and when required. This is the provision of strategic financial advice to assist with decision making through forecasting and reporting and act as a connection between the business and the broader Finance Branch.

Performing end of month reporting activities, including journals preparation, transaction analysis, and reports production.Preparing and reviewing data and workforce for allocating to project through WBS allocations and providing input to project forecasts.Working with business to assist with budget allocations and phasings, Agency Budget and Finance Committee (ABFC) submissions and financial analysis.Ensuring financial record accuracy, including regular GL, cost centre, PO review and amendment.Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, implementing changes once approved and keeping records.Enough about us, let's talk about you Our ideal applicants will have a good understanding of financial governance frameworks and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to financial policies, regulations, and audit guidelines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as you will be working closely with senior leaders and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and has highly developed stakeholder engagement skills.
In addition to the above qualities, we are also looking for candidates with proven experience in finance who have demonstrated expertise in their field. You will need to hold CA/CPA qualifications and be able to provide these at the application stage.

We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
