With our expanding data portfolio, we are seeking an experienced APS6 data analyst to join us.
It is a fantastic opportunity to develop and grow your analytical, data management and systems design skills in a high-profile program and collaborative team environment.
What will you do?Duties of the position include:
Engagement and collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver technical and strategic projects.Using programming languages including R and SQL to clean, compile and analyse datasets (including modelling).
This may also include reconciling data from multiple sources.Design, develop and/or update new and existing data products for publication, and prepare summary statistics and charts.
Programs used include Azure Databricks, RStudio, ArcGIS and PowerBI.Undertake improvements to trusted national datasets in the NFDH data catalogue, including determining weaknesses or opportunities for improvement.Assist in undertaking ad hoc data and information requests.Assist the team through quality assurance and peer review processes.Possible supervisor or mentor responsibilities.Who are we looking for?The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate their capability against the APS6 Work level standards.

Eligibility requirementsEmployment with the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts is subject to conditions prescribed within the Public Service Act 1999.
