APS6 Cost Modeler Federal Government Contract Opportunity
Talent International is currently seeking an experienced APS6 Cost Modeler for a 12-month contract with the potential for extension, working with one of our Federal Government clients based in Surry Hills.
This position requires 38 hours per week (7.6 hours per day).
About the Role :
The role is situated within the Office of the CIO (OCIO) , part of the Scheme Digital Platforms (SDP) program, which drives innovation in ICT solutions to support the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
The Corporate Systems Directorate focuses on vendor management, budget control, and providing strategic investment advice to drive digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and manage project cost plans, forecasts, and budget estimates for business cases.
Monitor expenditures, manage financial controls, and advise on budget allocation.
Generate expenditure reports, analyze variances, and provide insights for OCIO leadership.
Support procurement by developing tender documents and analyzing vendor budget requirements.
Organize and facilitate project meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Criteria :
3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within federal government procurement.
Proficiency in budget management, financial analysis, and strong attention to detail.
Hands-on experience in procurement with knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR) and PGPA Act .
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook .
Desirable Criteria :
Project coordination or business administration experience.
Competency in SharePoint and Confluence .
Adaptability to new tools, accessible design, and development practices.
Role Expectations :
Hybrid work arrangement : Two days in-office (one mandatory Directorate day, one flexible).
Australian Citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance .
Entry-level checks required for successful candidates.
