In this role your duties may include: Assist in the support and development of the commercial teamProvide advice and support to procurement and contracting activities across HQJOC. This requiring an understanding and ability to provide advice on the procurement process, commercial risk, legal and contract performance.Coordination and support of regular reporting (ie. finance, contract effectiveness, modern slavery). Work collaboratively with vendors and SME's (internal and external) to ensure all requirements are met.Support the management and transition of the Simulation Support Panel (SSP) to the Defence Support Services (DSS) Panel.Assist in the development and implementation of strategies for managing current and future commercial matters. Including contract management governance.Ensure compliance with Commonwealth and Defence policy across all procurement and contracting activities.Coordination of communication to personnel regarding any changes to procurement and contract management policy and procedures. This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.
