The Role

The Role
The Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) has an opportunity for a motivated professional to join our Contractor Performance team. 

Under the broad direction of the Contract Performance Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking product, supplier, financial and contract management activities in a complex Defence sustainment environment and in accordance with Commonwealth legislative and policy requirements. 

You will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve sustainment capability outcomes, through both the implementation of effective contracting arrangements and the ongoing management of these arrangements. 

In addition, you will be responsible for providing advice to stakeholders on a range of contract issues to improve value for money and minimise legal and commercial risks. 

As a leader, you will support and motivate your team to come together and excel in order to achieve organisational objectives, whilst continuing to pursue your own self-development goals.

Responsibilities of this role include (but not limited to):

Supporting the planning and management of a multi-million dollar budget for an Air Mobility platform under the guidance of the Contract Performance Manager.Approving, reviewing and/or updating procurements and rectifying outstanding issues.Coordination of the Commonwealth review and/or approval of supplier performance in relation to contract outcomes and deliverables.Assisting the Contract Performance Manager with contract change proposals and other day-to-day tasks.Working closely with other teams within ALSPO to achieve outcomes.Supervising one or more team members. $91,702 - $104,753 + up to 15.4% SuperannuationRichmond - NSW

About our Team
ALSPO is a Sustainment SPO delivering air mobility capabilities to support combat, humanitarian, diplomatic and peace-keeping operations. Our platforms provide Air Mobility capability to Air Force and enhance the RAAF's C-130J Hercules (RAAF Richmond) and C-27J Spartan (RAAF Amberley) aircraft.

Operating from RAAF Base Richmond, the position will be required to work predominantly (3-4 days) in location. Defence will support you in balancing work life with family and other priorities. Onsite you can make use of base facilities including the gym, squash, tennis and basketball courts, pool and cinema. There is are cafeterias, Yarning Circle and child-care facilities.


Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an individual with demonstrated contracting and procurement skills, along with an ability to understand and apply relevant legislation and policy. You may have experience working in similar roles and/or fields such as tendering, developing proposals, managing contracts, administering financial accounts or project management.
