Our client is seeking to engage an APS6 Communications Officer. Location: Canberra, ACT Contract Length: Start – April 2024, End – May 2025, with option to extend 1 X 12 months Eligibility/Security Requirement: This is a security designated position, and you will be required to hold a current Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance prior to commencement. Requirement The Department has a requirement for an Awareness Raising and Communication Specialist to assist with the delivery of security awareness campaigns and change management programs. Duties as follows: Implement and continually develop the Department's Security Policy Framework (DSF) communication strategy. Support the implementation of the DSF. Develop communications and awareness material. Conduct outreach to staff on the DSF. Liaise and consult with internal and external staff on the DSF. Plan and deliver events and outreach; and Engage and manage external providers and contractors in their support of the above. Required: High level communication skills (written & spoken) and working level skills using Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop Highly developed liaison skills and proven communication strategy expert Desirable: Broad experience in - communications including on behavior and change management initiatives. General attributes - Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills verbal and written. Ability to work effectively individually or within a team environment.
