The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is seeking experienced case management professionals to join the agency as APS6 Case Management within the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) Branch. The APS6 Case Management role is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work that is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents. The ART Case Management Branch works closely with the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) to manage all external review applications, aiming to improve the experience of current and prospective participants in the NDIA.Where you can add valueAs a member of the ART Case Management team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of improving the external applications experience for NDIS participants. Your case management skills and various aspects of the case management process including planning will be valuable to the team. Your work will include undertaking end to end case management activities, with appropriate line manager input and oversight.Additionally, you will:Assess and respond to priority and risk matters, including risks that impact the participant, Scheme sustainability and the NDIA.Prepare and build participant plans to reflect funded supports.Make decisions, with direction from more senior staff, on tasks/assignments with considerable complexity and sensitivity.Monitor related emerging issues, identify impact and conduct risk management activities within sphere of responsibility.Enough about us, let's talk about youOur ideal candidate has a human-centred approach and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment, working both independently and in a team setting. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
