The Role Joint Command and Control Systems Program Office (JC2SPO) is seeking an Assistant Product Manager. As an Assistant Product Manager, you will work within a blended APS, Military and Industry team and be accountable to use your knowledge of, and compliance with, legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements. You will:
Provide detailed product management technical, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work.
Analyse, develop and recommend product management options that achieve optimal use of Defence assets, balancing cost, opportunities and risks against desired asset performance.
About our Team The Joint Command and Control Systems Program Office (JC2 SPO) is responsible for the acquisition, integration and sustainment of command and control warfare systems for the Australian Defence Force across the country and in operational theatres overseas. These capabilities include computer applications that support planning and conduct of operations, including IT infrastructure and command and control systems for deployed military forces across the five Domains. JC2 SPO acquires and sustains joint-information warfare capabilities that are mission critical to all three services of the Australian Defence Force.

Understand and apply product management policies, processes and procedures to support the product management of Defence assets.
Engage and negotiate with stakeholders on complex issues to achieve business outcomes.
Build and sustain productive working relationships to achieve product management outcomes.
Investigate and identify product management risks and issues and take the initiative to provide solutions.
Review, analyse and report upon product performance.
Accountable for the accurate completion of work within timeframes, share own expertise with others and guide and coach less experienced employees.
Translate, apply and implement the administrative, operational, contract management, technical and resource requirements for complex product management activities.
As the Assistant Product Manager you will be a strong team player with the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders.
