24th December, 2024Indigeco Recruitment is supporting the Australian Electoral Commission in sourcing an APS6 Assistant Audit Manager for an initial contract until 30th June 2025, with a potential extension of 6 months.
The salary range is $91,140 - $102,152 plus 15.4% superannuation.Eligibility:Only Australian Citizens with Negative Vetting 1 clearance are eligible to apply for the position.Purpose of the Role:The Assistant Audit Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Audit and Assurance team to deliver high-quality internal audit services.
Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, this position ensures the effective operation of audit activities and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities: Support the end-to-end delivery of internal audits, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.Collaborate with internal audit service providers to manage audit processes and stakeholders.Contribute to business process improvement initiatives and provide advice on governance practices.Draft strategic reports and briefing papers on complex issues for committees.Promote innovation and continuous improvement in audit practices and procedures.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Key Requirements:Experience working in an internal audit function, applying International Professional Practices Frameworks.Strong analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.Proven integrity and understanding of governance and assurance frameworks for the Commonwealth Government.Desirable: Knowledge of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 and Australian electoral law.If this sounds like an interesting opportunity, then apply today!
