The Role

Our Client is looking for multiple ASP6 Assessment Officers to join their agency. This busy and intricate role will see you analysing, interpreting and applying legislation against applications. This will require previous experience as an APS5/6 Assessment Officer within an APS environment. Positions available in Adelaide, Sydney and Canberra.

About The Role

Interpret, apply and make recommendations based on policy, legislation and/or regulatory standardsProvide advice to key stakeholder groups and engage with stakeholders to negotiate the resolution of problems and issuesDevelop and maintain relevant technical knowledge, and identifying and addressing own capability gapsProvide support for strategic planning and performance reporting that underpins the corporate planning of the agencyConduct research and analysis to support evidence-based decision-makingPrepare project plans, evidence-based briefings and draft reportsMaintain and update records and registers in line with all relevant requirementsKeep senior staff informed, escalate issues and propose solutions on the basis of good judgment and an understanding of prioritiesAssist in managing the work of other staff in the team, including assigning work, monitoring work quality and providing assistance with more complex queries.Support other staff in the team, including providing guidance and quality assuranceProvide advice and input on projects as required.

About You

Previous experience in an APS5/6 Assessment Officer positionBaseline clearance requiredStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenStrong attention to detail

You must be an Australian Citizen to be considered for opportunities in the federal government.
