The Governance Advisor is responsible for co-ordinating support and advice to the ACIC Board and external committees. The Governance Adviser works in a small team responsible for co-ordinating meetings, preparing and co-ordinating papers, taking minutes and managing action items. The role also supports the strategic co-ordination of the committees, including identifying opportunities to support collaboration and strengthen engagement across the operations, through engagement with partner agencies.

Advisor, Internal Governance and Reporting
The Internal Governance and Reporting team ensures that the ACIC operates effectively to deliver its strategic priorities and communicates its outcomes in accordance with legislated obligations under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 and Australian Crime Commission Act 2002. The team is also responsible for delivering the agency's internal governance framework (comprising 7 committees) to ensure it supports performance across the agency; it meets key accountability requirements; and ensures accountability and transparency in its activities and decision-making.
There are 2 positions available in the Internal Governance and Reporting Team. The Advisors, Internal Governance and Reporting perform a range of duties, including but not limited to, providing governance and secretariat support to the ACIC's internal governance committees; coordinating input for the ACIC's Annual Report and ACIC Chair of the Board Annual Report; measuring and reporting on the ACIC's non-financial performance measures; and contributing to the ACIC's strategic planning framework through the coordination and development of the Strategic Direction, Corporate Plan and divisional business plans.

Advisor Strategic Policy
The Strategic Policy team works with teams across the agency, Commonwealth and state and territory governments to provide timely, considered high order advice and support to the ACIC Executive in relation to strategically important (and emerging) matters that require broad agency consideration through legislative reform, policy, interagency liaison (notably the National Intelligence Community, central agencies and key state and territory interlocutors) and ministerial, parliamentary and Cabinet channels.
The Strategic Policy team works concurrently on competing priorities to provide advice, coordinate the ACIC's contribution to whole-of-government policies and legislation (including New Policy Proposals) and support high-level meetings, taskforces and fora.
The Strategic Policy Advisor will be an integral team member who will contribute to, and provide, support across the team. The role may include performing Cabinet Liaison Officer duties, triaging incoming correspondence, drafting meeting briefs, contributing to agency submissions to Government reviews, inquiries and committees and corresponding with partner agencies.
