$83,706 - $89,659 + up to 15.4% Superannuation Campbell Park - ACT, Russell - ACT The Role The Navy Communication Team is seeking an enthusiastic APS 5 Web Administrator who will assist in administration for the Royal Australian Navy public website.
You will be the first point of contact for support requests to Navy stakeholders.
The successful applicant will action requests and quality assure Navy's web content.
You will utilise various publishing, media hosting, data analytics and compliance checking tools to ensure high quality user experiences and accessibility for web content.
Applicants will need to demonstrate an ability to: Support the creation and compliance review of content on the Defence internet website.
Create digital design in line with Enterprise Web Directorate (EWD) standards.
Ability to build networks and leverage off these.
Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset to establish and maintain professional relationships with Navy stakeholders.
Ability to prioritise requests received in the team's group mailbox, and the publication and quality assurance of web content in compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
About our Team The APS 5 Web Administrator Navy is part of the Navy Communication Branch within Navy Headquarters, Russell (COSNHQ).
The branch is a blended workforce with a mix of APS staff members and Navy uniformed personnel.
The branch in total has approximately 20 staff members that are located in Russell Offices, Campbell Park and Fleet Bases East and West.
The branch encompasses staff with a broad range of skills; including media, strategic communication and marketing skills, social media experts, imagery specialists, Military public affairs officers.
The team works collaboratively in developing tactical and strategic communication outcomes for Navy and the Department of Defence.
Our Ideal Candidate The APS 5 Web Administrator will need to be highly motivated, have administrative and organisational abilities and excellent time management skills.
Applicants will need to demonstrate; An ability to assist with web publishing, content design tasks and triage web support requests.
Customer service skills.
An ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
An ability to think outside the box and show experience in the use of digital communication channels.
Strong commitment to web standards and delivery of user experience products.
An ability to work with reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement and outcomes for their work.
An ability to innovate positively on the improvement of the Defence web environment and primary internal communication channel.
