Our federal government client is seeking experienced candidates for multiple APS5 Redress Contact Officer opportunities in Perth CBD.

Rate: $44.38 per hour plus 15.4% Superannuation (equates to $86,541 per annum)
Location: Perth CBD
Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week
Duration: Initial 6-12 month contract with possible 6-12 month extension
Type: Max-term contract (annual, sick and flex leave entitlements included)
Work From Home: Office based only - No WFH flexibility

Position: APS5 Redress Contact Officer Job PurposeThe Redress Service Delivery Branch is responsible for managing the end-to-end process for Applications made under the National Redress Scheme. This includes liaising with applicants over the phone, receiving, validating and progressing applications for Redress and advising outcomes to applicants.

Redress Officers in the Service Delivery Branch provide direct services to applicants including Case Coordination, Contact Officer, letter drafting and payment issuing.

DutiesApply the National Redress Scheme for Institutional Child Sexual Abuse Act 2018, and relevant policies, procedures and guidelines to progress applications.Make and receive calls to applicants and their nominees. This includes receiving calls from the National Redress Scheme phone line.Prepare, edit and quality check letters and notices sent to applicants, nominees and institutions.Conduct detailed research and prepare complex request for information packages.Code application information in Case Manager, keeping accurate and comprehensive records. SkillsCommunicate confidently and present messages in a clear, concise and articulate way.Write, edit and proof-read documents and case file notes.Manage time and organise work against performance expectations.Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.Research and make decisions based on subject matter knowledge and judgement.Understand legislation, policies, procedures and information management requirements.Adhere to relevant government privacy, ethics, workplace health and safety and security protocols.Ability to interpret complex information and identify key aspects to support validation, assessment and recommendation processes.High-level research and analytical skills to make accurate conclusions based on information and evidence.High level of accuracy and attention to detail in reading, writing and talking about applications, as well as the processing and recording of information.Self-awareness and ability to self-manage in a complex, changing environment whilst in a diverse team with a high workload in a high-risk environment.
