The Role
Surveillance and Response Group (SRG) delivers multi-domain AISR, strike, control and Air Navigation Support, with its headquarters located at RAAF Base Williamtown. The position is located in the A9-Quality and Airworthiness Directorate providing quality assurance tasks within the Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) area on behalf of 44Wing.
44 Wing is dedicated to the delivery of Joint Battlefield Airspace Control and Air Navigation Services for ADF operations. 44 Wing consists of a headquarters element and two Squadrons, with elements located across Australia. 
The APS 5 Quality Assurance Officer is part of an integrated workforce and is accountable under limited direction to perform complex quality assurance work. Duties include maintenance quality management (MQM) such as planning, conducting, and reporting on MQM internal audits of 452SQN and 453SQN Maintenance Units (MUs) within 44WG. The position is also responsible for supporting the Defence Aviation Safety Regulations - ANSP processes within SRG.

A9 ANSP-CNS supports Headquarters 44 Wing in the delivery of Joint Battlefield Airspace Control and Air Navigation Services for ADF operations and National taskings. The team is motivated and self-disciplined, creating an environment for continuous improvement, personal development and career progression. 44 Wing is an organisation consisting of Headquarters (HQ) element and two Squadrons, with elements located across Australia.
The A9-Quality and Airworthiness area has a strength of around 20 personnel, made up of Australian Defence Force members and Australian Public Servants, and is physically located at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW with 4 members at RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA.
