APS5 Programs Officer
Approximate 12-month contract| Canberra Location | $51.24 - $55.10 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation
OVERVIEW
Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an experienced Programs Officer to join their team at the APS5 level. Within this role you will manage and work as part of small teams, be responsible for planning and implementing various aspects of grants programs. These roles combine project management, stakeholder engagement, risk management, communication, administration skills.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Support and manage grant administration tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.Manage multiple tasks within set timeframes using effective time management and priority setting skills.Interpret and consistently apply policy, procedures, guidelines and legislation. Be aware of and navigate situations involving complexity and sensitivity.Work flexibly across teams to provide support across the Programs Branch as required.Prepare and review documents, reports, policy briefings and other correspondence.Monitor budgets and ensure accurate tracking of spending and financial information.Undertake other duties such as, project management and secretariat support, as required.EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS Our ideal candidate is an administrative whiz, with exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise and complete tasks within critical deadlines.You will be a confident writer who can synthesise complex information into clear and persuasive communication.You are proficient with common office software such as Word or Excel and can use and quickly learn to navigate new systems.Grant administration experience is welcome but not essential.
