APS 5 Participant Support Officer Practice Lead (General & Affirmative Measures) National Disability Insurance Agency – Hobart TAS
Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.
A new role awaits
New roles are being established in Service Delivery and we are looking for highly reliable and professional APS 5 Participant Support Officer (PSO) Practice Leads to play a major role in the ongoing support within the Service Delivery State/Territory based business units.
Our PSO teams will provide frontline support for NDIS participants and other stakeholders as a first point of contact for front of house enquiries, resolving enquiries and booking appointments as well as supporting additional internal stakeholders.

Main elements of this role include:
Identifying, researching, conducting analysis and reporting on capability development and quality trends Developing resources, delivering training, and supporting new starters and existing staff Conducting quality assurance activities and providing feedback to team leaders and individuals on trends and areas for improvement Providing administration support for complex Service Delivery areas including recruitment and drafting correspondence Enough about us, let's talk about you
These roles are team-based environment, and you will be able to effectively mentor a team, while also building capabilities within your team.
To join our team, you will have:
Possess well developed planning and organising skills to assist with team and internal stakeholders goals Proven administration and leadership experience. Be able to recognise peoples strengths, show empathy and have inclusive decision-making skills If successful, you will be either invited to complete a recorded video interview or attend an interview with panel members either face-to-face or via MS Teams.

We intend to fill these roles in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
