*Closing Date: 9am, Tuesday 29 October  face2face reference: 622826 Location: Canberra, ACT Hours: full-time  Contract length: 6 Months  Entry requirements: Baseline Clearance  Pay range: $55.00 - 60.00 p/h ex super About the role: The department is seeking a high performing individual with a cross section of skills, experience in the Parliamentary, Ministerial and Event team.
The Branch is a fast-paced environment and are expected to have a commitment to achieving accuracy, thoroughness, quality and timeliness, an ability to interact with a range of staff and clients at different levels, an ability to meet tight deadlines.
The client is seeking a highly organised individual who is able to, multitask and work to multiple deadlines working in a fast-paced environment with proven experience in, parliamentary including brief writing, coordination, senate estimates etc.
You can be entrusted to make sound judgment calls and can perform your role with a high degree of accuracy.
You will have personal drive, agility, and the ability to think quickly and respond positively in an environment of change while managing work effectively.
Duties: Supporting the Parliamentary section, including: Monitoring and actioning Parliamentary inbox Management of Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS) Providing administrative support to the CEO, executive and staff Coordination of briefs and ministerial correspondence, for both internal and external purposes—drafting, proof reading and formatting style, including: Ministerial correspondence—researching, drafting and finalising.
Briefing correspondence—drafting briefs including event briefs, edit and proof Event Coordinator— external discovery outcomes and launches including briefing, liaison and logistics Management and coordination of Senate Estimates, Question Time Briefs and Questions on Notice Assisting with the tabling of ARC documents in Parliament.
Required experience/skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines Effective communication skills, both oral and written and the ability to liaise with staff and other external stakeholders at all levels Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team Desirable experience/skills: Understanding of the Parliamentary processes and legislative requirements  If this sounds like the role for you, and you'd like to learn more, click apply now.
