About the Role:

We are seeking a high-performing APS5 Parliamentary and Event Officer with a strong skillset and experience in supporting parliamentary, ministerial, and event management functions. In this fast-paced role, you will collaborate with senior executives, government departments, and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-visibility projects with tight deadlines.

Contract Duration: 6 Months (extension can be discussed )  
Location: Canberra, ACT
Requirements: Must be an Australia citizenUndergo ID verification checkUndergo a Police CheckMust hold a Baseline Security Clearance or able to obtainResponsibilities: Monitor and manage the parliamentary inbox and document systemsProvide administrative support to the CEO, executives, and teamDraft, proofread, and coordinate ministerial and briefing correspondenceManage Senate Estimates, Question Time Briefs, and Questions on NoticeCoordinate external ARC events, including logistics and stakeholder liaisonAssist in the tabling of ARC documents in ParliamentRequired Experience: Strong organisational and time management skills, able to manage competing prioritiesExcellent communication skills, both oral and written, for liaising with staff and stakeholders at all levelsProven ability to work independently and as part of a teamExperience with parliamentary processes and brief writing (desirable)Proficient IT skills with adaptability to new software systemsIdeal Candidate: Highly organized multitasker with experience in:Parliamentary and ministerial briefingsEvent coordinationAdministrative tasksThrives in a fast-paced environmentMakes sound decisions under pressureAgile and driven to meet tight deadlinesEnsures high accuracy in all tasks
