Ministerial and Executive Coordination and Communication Division (MECC) has several APS 5 positions available. The roles span across the MPC Branch. We are looking for people with experience in administration and coordination, stakeholder and executive support, and cabinet liaison. Working in MPC provides you with privileged insight into decision making directly related to national security and an opportunity to work closely with Ministerial staff, Defence senior leaders, and across Defence.

MECC operates in a high tempo environment and is high profile by nature, servicing top-tier executives and supporting the four Ministers and their offices. Our environment is privy to highly sensitive information, so confidentiality is critical for our people. We are looking for candidates who can thrive in fast-paced environments. A merit list will be established.

About our Team
Ministerial, Parliamentary and Cabinet Branch enables and facilitates Defence to provide best practice advice and services to the Australian Parliament, Ministers, and the Defence Senior Executive. The Branch provides support, advice, and information to ensure high standards of compliance with Ministerial, Cabinet, and Parliamentary practices.

The Branch comprises five teams:

Ministerial and PDMS Services.Cabinet Liaison Services.Ministerial Support.Parliamentary Business and Committees.Senate Estimates and Executive Support Unit. Our Ideal Candidate
These positions require administrative, governance, and stakeholder engagement skills. To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
An ability to deliver high-quality outcomes within strict deadlines.An ability to use production systems and maintain databases and records in accordance with information management policies.Experience engaging positively with stakeholders, managing requests and queries with professionalism, and responding to changes in stakeholder needs and expectations to achieve outcomes.An ability to work collaboratively in an integrated team environment, and to support team objectives.Good written and interpersonal skills.A keen eye for accuracy and detail.
