The NDIA is seeking a highly motivated APS5 ICT Service Management Officer to join the team. The Enterprise Architecture and Governance Branch provides enabling services for the entire Chief Information Officer (CIO) Division including Financial and Business Management, Technical Delivery, Governance Risk and Assurance and Enterprise Architecture functions and supports ICT service delivery for Agency Staff and Partners.
The branch aim is to implement a sensible and comprehensive governance strategy to ensure the successful execution and delivery of technology projects and enhancements.
Where you can add value The APS5 ICT Service Management Officer is responsible for identifying, documenting, and categorising practice work items (e.g., releases, changes, problems, incidents, service requests, configuration items) before engaging the relevant practice process to manage the work item through its entire lifecycle.
You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks including but not limited to:
Supporting the APS6 ICT Service Management Officer in the effective execution of practice responsibilities.Engaging with technical owners and stakeholders and facilitation of relevant forums, enabling efficient resolution of practice work items for effective business outcomes.Reporting on practice operations and performance.Supporting the identification, development, and implementation of improvements for practice capability, maturity, and performance.Engagement with and support of other OCIO directorates.Enough about us, let's talk about you Our ideal candidate is a team player with ICT service management experience who can operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain meaningful stakeholder relationships and commitment to delivering quality work. You will display a high attention to detail, have demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and possess the ability to make decisions whilst working independently and proactively.
Working at the NDIA, it is essential you have a positive contemporary attitude to people with disability along with a high level of understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals.

The role is open to be performed from any NDIA location nationwide and remote working arrangements may be considered.
We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered. A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions (ongoing and non-ongoing) within the next 18 months.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
