$83,706 - $89,659 + up to 15.4% Superannuation Canberra - ACT The RoleThe Senior Leadership Group plays a key role in promoting and influencing a shared civilian/military commitment to the strategic direction of Defence.
The Executive Business Support (EBS) role is a position of trust and discretion.
In working directly with members of the Senior Leadership Group, it is crucial individuals are suitably skilled, professional, work well under pressure, and have strong communication skills.A well-organised executive office is crucial to the smooth operation of the department.
With limited supervision, you will manage the office of the Director General Logistics Branch – Air Force (DGLOG – AF).
This includes calendar management, preparation of correspondence, organising meetings, arranging travel, coordinating briefing packs, and managing office systems and records using Microsoft Office, Objective (the Department's document management system), and Financial Management Systems.The EBS to DGLOG – AF will provide executive support to the Director General and to the Branch in general.
They will be an integral part of the efficient operation and coordination of the Branch Office.
This role is primarily workstation-based with high usage of Defence IT systems.

DGLOG-AF works across the Joint Forces, Services, and Domains, representing Air Force at many key committees, boards, forums, and steering groups.
The key lines of effort for LOGBR-AF are:
Basing and Infrastructure, Logistics Interoperability, Logistics Workforce Capability, and Capability Assurance Under the command of Director General Logistics - Air Force (DGLOG-AF), the Branch consists of five Directorates:
Directorate of Engineering and Maintenance - Air Force Directorate of Estate and Infrastructure Capability - Air Force Directorate of Enterprise Resource Planning - Air Force Directorate of Future Logistics Capability - Air Force, and Directorate of Logistics - Air Force Logistics Branch – Air Force is committed to providing staff with a diverse, manageable, favourable work-life balance.

You will be a flexible and adaptable team player with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Teams.
This is a position of trust with direct, daily exposure to members of the senior executive, so high standards of professionalism are essential.
You will need to possess the following:
Ability to proactively anticipate the needs of your senior leader, exercise flexibility and resilience. A friendly and professional demeanour. Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships both internal and external to Defence. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability and confidence to organise yourself, Branch Head, and Directors. An awareness of business and submission processes, including creating and/or continuous improvement of existing processes. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Discretion and ability to deal with confidential and sensitive business matters. Sound judgement and attention to detail. You will be self-aware, with a positive attitude, demonstrating consideration and respect for a diversity of ideas and perspectives of others. You will contribute to the management of an electronic document management system and the Executive budget.
