APS5 Executive Assistant Canberra or Brisbane with Hybrid and WFH Options 12 month contract + 12 month extension Weekly Pay on a Labour Hire Contract $50 to $60 per hour + Super Police Check and Baseline Clearance About the role My client is seeking a suitably experienced APS5 Executive Assistant.
As the Executive Assistant, you will provide direct support to the Executive Officer and Deputy Commissioner.
Key responsibilities Acting as the first point of contact for the Deputy Commissioner, including receiving and making phone calls, arranging meetings, making videoconference bookings, greeting visitors, organising catering, manage corporate events and other logistics.
Providing high level administrative and coordination support, including managing and organising meetings, briefings and events and anticipating and managing competing commitments.
Administering finance support (including corporate credit card acquittals), and advising, arranging, and reconciling travel in line with the department's travel policy for staff on request.
Assist with drafting material for the Deputy Commissioner, including internal and external correspondence, emails, briefs, speeches, presentations.
Provide secretariat support for weekly meetings, including compiling the agenda, disseminating papers, taking minutes and following up actions.
Undertaking a broad range of other corporate and administrative support functions as required.
About you You're a strong administrator with extensive experience working as an Executive Assistant in a virtual and remote environment.
You'll be able to demonstrate your expertise in the use of MS Suite, including Outlook, MS Teams, Excel along with Share Point and Technology One Ci Anywhere as the core FMIS.
Your day to day will include: Organising and prioritising workloads and applying analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver on outcomes within set timeframes, and the ability to seek out and identify relevant information and advice where required to achieve this.
Working collaboratively and cooperatively and establishing and maintaining productive working relationships within the team.
Displaying an important level of professionalism, championing the behaviours in line with the Organisations and the Australian Public Service Values and Code of Conduct.
Communicating clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, and delivering clear, concise messages to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Application Requirements Applicants must hold Australian citizenship.
Current Police check – within the last 3 months.
Available to commence from the 1st of November 2024.
Hold or able to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
