The Department:This agency offers critical data analysis and scientific research to support national economic and resource management. Based in Canberra, the team provides reliable forecasts, trade insights, and policy assessments to guide decision-making and enhance sector growth and resilience. This role coordinates high-profile events to share valuable insights with stakeholders.The Role:You'll be joining a large Government department, delivering the flagship National event for 2025, as well as other regional events as required.The National conference is scheduled for March 2025 and this position will see you hit the ground running. With the marketing and branding component underway, you will be responsible for the planning and overall delivery of the event.This position can be based in Canberra only and does not offer a WFH arrangement, however does offer flexibility. This is a 5 month contract with the possibility of extension.Role Responsibilities:Develop and maintain the online registration portal, onair live streaming and build the event app.Work collaboratively to support the conference agenda including assisting with the development of the conference program and materials tailored to the audiences as required.Facilitate speakers and delegate registrations, including assisting with creating speaker and chair induction packages.Process registration and payments and respond to correspondence.Research and assess conference venues and materials.Support the development of sponsorship activities and liaise with sponsors as required.Your Skills and Experience:To be considered for this position you must have event management experience. Experience in communications is desirable and previous experience in the APS is preferred.Experience using EventsAir software is highly desirable.
