Your new role
Your new role as a Divisional Support Officer will see you providing comprehensive administrative coordination within the team and the broader division. This role will be offered as a permanent Section 26 transfer or 12-month non-ongoing contract with a possible extension.
This position requires a motivated individual who is able to work under pressure and under general direction and be responsible for the delivery of timely, efficient, effective and friendly high-level administration and executive support. It requires a high degree of professionalism, judgement and discretion.
Your key responsibilities in this role are to:
Monitor inbox and action or escalate coord requests from across the DepartmentProvide administrative support to ministerial and parliamentary processes and requests.Coordinate the Division's Senate Estimates preparation in conjunction with the EL1.Be the first point of contact internally for the Departments senate estimate team.Contribute to divisional projects and lead smaller projects that support the Division operationally and strategically.Provide coverage for the Executive Assistant (EA) for Head of Division when the EA is away. What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will be required to have previous experience working within the APS with experience providing high level administration support in a fast-paced environment. You will possess excellent interpersonal, communication and coordination skills.

Ability to communicate effectively and be influential by delivering information clearly in a variety of formats.Ability to achieve results by showing initiative, agility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.Excellent time management skills with the ability to establish clear plans and timeframes for project implementation.Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce work of a high quality and identify and implement improved work practices.Ability to collaborate across teams by using great interpersonal skills that enable you to speak up and engage with senior leaders and a broad range of stakeholders.Ability to think ahead by scanning current and emerging priorities, anticipating and identifying the criticality of tasks, and managing outcomes appropriately.Exercise discretion by using good judgement and maintaining confidentiality.You must be an Australian citizen to be considered for this role and have the ability to obtain and maintain a baseline clearance or higher.
