As part of the Library's team, you will help support organisational reform, working collaboratively with your team to shape the Library's future.The Library is seeking to fill an ongoing Coordinator, Rights Management APS 5 role in the Rights Management Section of the Collection Branch.As the Coordinator, Rights Management you will work as part of a collaborative and supportive team applying your expertise to research, advise, and make decisions on rights in collection materials, including facilitating access. You will engage with rights across the range of formats in the Library's collection including manuscripts, pictures and photographs, books and serials and oral histories. You will respond to rights and access inquiries from Library users as well as from internal stakeholders, coordinating and clearing rights for Library activities including exhibitions, publications and digitisation projects.The role has people, program and stakeholder management responsibilities. You'll work with staff across the Library and maintain positive working relationships with a network of people and organisations external to the Library. The work is interesting and diverse, and we are seeking an energetic, flexible, and reliable person with an interest in working with heritage collections.To succeed in this role you will have sound written and oral communication skills supporting your ability to provide advice and work effectively with a variety of staff across all levels.To be successful in this role, it is desirable if you have the following:Qualifications in Library and Information Management, Archives, or Law.Qualifications or equivalent experience in Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences or related fields.Experience of rights management in a cultural heritage collecting institution.Proven ability to research and apply analytical thinking.We encourage and welcome applications from people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTIQA+ people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and mature age people.
