DFP Recruitment are currently supporting a medium to large federal government agency in sourcing multipleAPS4 Administration Support Officers and APS5Case Coordinatorsfora national program. This contract is up to 12 months, which includes paid leave and 15.4% superannuation and is located in Greenway ACT.

Responsibilities:

APS4 Administration Support Officersprovide administrative and operational support to the business teams, working under the support and general direction of senior staff.

Duties may include some or all of the following:
Apply the relevant policies, procedures and guidelines to progress applications.Provide administrative support to the team and/or work areaPrepare and edit letters and notices sent to applicants, nominees and institutions.Code application information in Case Manager, keeping accurate and comprehensive records.Skills and Attributes required: Write, edit and proof-readMaintain accuracy and attention to detail in transposing information from software & database systems to approved document templatesUsing HP Content Manager for the secure keeping of information and documentsApply established criteria and make accurate evidence-based decisionsUse appropriate judgement, analysis and problem-solving skillsManage time and plan own workload against performance expectations and apply attention to detailCommunicate in an effective wayDevelop knowledge of legislation, policies, procedures and information management requirementsDisplay relevant computer literacy skillWork in and adapt to a changing environmentApply high ethical standards, confidentiality and discretion and consistently practice relevant government privacy, ethics and workplace health and safety and security protocols APS5 Case Officerswill be required to manage a caseload where you will apply relevant legislation to assess applications for validity, make recommendations on eligibility and offer advice on decisions. You will;
Communicate with applicants, nominees and third parties and present messages in a clear, concise, and articulate way.Research and make decisions based on subject matter knowledge and judgement.Keep accurate and comprehensive records (including report writing, case notes, and official records).Advise applicants on legislation, policy, procedures.Resolve applicant enquiries.Provide quality control and quality assurance on applications and check the work quality of others.Manage time and organise work against performance expectations.About You:

Our ideal candidate will have strong abilities in interpreting and applying legislation.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following;
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in reading, writing, and talking about applications, their processing and recording.Self-awareness and ability to self-manage in a complex, changing environment whilst in a diverse team with high workload in a high-risk environment.Experience developing influential working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external.Sound analytical skills to evaluate applications and related issues and contribute to solutions.A well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.Resilience, persistence, and a result-orientated attitude with the ability to be accountable for decisions and actions.Sound judgement and logical reasoning in decision making and is accurate when dealing with detailed information and documentation.
Applicants are required to holdAustralian Citizenshipat time of application and hold aBaseline securityclearance. Candidates who do not currently hold a Baseline must be able to obtain and maintain this level of clearance.
