APS5/6 Procurement Officer (Procurement Business Partner)Contract Term: Initial 12 Month contractDeakin Office location with flexible working option availableAbout the RoleThe Procurement Team is responsible for partnering with business areas to source goods and services for the Agency through a centralised procurement model.
We focus on applying the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and NDIA Procurement Policy to ensure value for money outcomes.Procurement Business Partners work with business areas to engage labour hire resources and undertake grant rounds in accordance with the NDIA Procurement Policy and relevant legislation.Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Provide high-quality procurement advice and support to NDIA business areas and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), NDIA Procurement Policy, and legislative requirements.Establish appropriate procurement methodologies, prepare procurement documentation, evaluate tenders, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement reporting and verification activities.Deliver value-for-money outcomes that contribute to better social and economic results for people with disabilities.Maintain and implement procurement and contract management policies, procedures, and frameworks, while identifying opportunities for process improvement.Support procurement planning and provide specialist advice to internal and external stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership Team.Manage confidential and sensitive information, ensuring consistent, high-quality outputs and alignment with work area objectives.Collaborate with NDIA business areas as a procurement business partner to achieve objectives and maintain team cohesion.Monitor, progress, and report on work area activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of procurement outcomes.Skills and ExperienceKey skills required for the role:Demonstrated understanding of federal or state government procurement processes.Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.Intermediate understanding of the MS Office Suite.Demonstrated experience managing high volume requests and ability to multitask.Ability to remain composed in a changing, fast-paced environment.Desirable skills to have for the role:Management of staff (ASP6 only).Eligibility/Other Requirements:The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.How to Apply:To apply for this opportunity, please submit your application to Connie at Talent International by clicking the "APPLY NOW" button.
