Our Federal Government client is seeking a dynamic APS 6 Policy and Secretariat Officer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to impactful energy policies while working in a collaborative and engaging environment.About the Role:As an APS 6 Policy and Secretariat Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing various critical functions within the Gas Markets Branch. Your responsibilities will include:Duties and Responsibilities:Undertake Secretariat functions, including coordinating meeting papers, agendas, preparing minutes, and scheduling meetings.Build and maintain productive working relationships through effective stakeholder engagement.Interpret, develop, and provide advice on policy, legislation, and regulations.Prepare briefings for the Minister and Senior Executive Staff.Perform governance tasks as required.Qualifications and Experience:Our preferred candidates will possess:Experience with operating a Secretariat function.Experience in policy or regulation.Excellent writing and communication skills.Strong critical thinking skills.Ability to synthesize complex information for a range of audiences.An understanding of government processes.On offer is a 12 month labour hire/hourly rate contract.If you are enthusiastic about making a difference in the energy sector and have the skills and experience we are looking for, we encourage you to apply.
