Our client is seeking to engage APS5&6 Management Accountants.Location: Canberra, ACTEmployment: 6-12 monthsEligibility/Security Requirement: Baseline security clearanceThe Department is seeking an enthusiastic management accountant to assist in inventory management including daily transactional processing (inbounds, deployments, returns, impairments), monthly analysis and reconciliations, forecasting and reporting of administered appropriation (including cash).Responsibilities:Manage daily data entry into the Inventory Management System (Microsoft Dynamics) including inbounds, deployments, returns, impairments. This work will also involve performing reconciliations as required and taking investigative analysis and action to resolve variances.Review, analyse and interpret financial information and prepare specialist financial advice, including variance analysis in TM1.Work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to improve the visibility and management of inventory and problem solve as required.Act as the business lead for the ongoing management of the Inventory Management System (includes master data - customers and products, improvements to business process).Provide support to finance stakeholders for budgeting, procurement, cash management, with a focus on improving financial management practices in the Department.Support Executive, senior governance committees and divisional management with ad-hoc data requests at a whole of department level as required.Key Capabilities:Highly developed and demonstrated communication skills (both oral and in writing) including the ability to write discussion and/or briefing papers translating complex financial matters for management.Demonstrated ability to plan and manage ongoing purposeful relationships.Demonstrated ability to effectively manage work activities and competing priorities in a manner that ensures specified timeframes and deadlines are met.Strong analytical and evaluation skills, including financial and general quantitative skills.Experience in the use of financial management information systems such as SAP, with a particular focus on TM1 and Microsoft Dynamics, and other applications such as MS Excel.If you feel you are a suitable candidate submit your application by hitting "Apply for this job".
