APS5/6 Intelligence Analyst, Various Locations
About the roleCrime is not constrained by international dimensions - the threat to Australia from Transnational Serious and Organised Crime continues to grow.
The size of financial rewards, collaboration between global networks, and the exploitation of emerging technologies by Serious Organised Crime Groups has increased the scale, complexity, and reach of these crime groups.
Intelligence Analysts at the ACIC make a leading contribution to combating Transnational Serious and Organised Crime.
Your role will include the development, planning, collection, and production of unique and incisive intelligence products that drive ACIC intelligence activities and are responsive to partner agency operational outcomes.
You will coordinate and focus intelligence collection and analysis using the ACIC Core Capabilities of Advanced Analytics, Coercive Powers, Covert Collection, and Intelligence Analysis and Assessments.
Your work will involve collaboration with other professionals in police, border, regulatory, and intelligence agencies in Australia and overseas.
Over the course of your career, you may work across several different threat areas, from illicit drugs to money laundering, cyber crime to government fraud, and encrypted criminal communications.
