APS5/6 and EL1 Financial Accounting - S26 or Non-Ongoing ContractsThe Organisation:Bespoke Federal Government Department focused on developing a strong culture and outputs.
The Role:These newly created roles aim to support the existing team with additional resources. The organisation has strong systems and processes in place and operates in a TechOne environment.You will be involved in the BAU of the monthly financial reporting cycle and support the financial statements end-of-year process, including interactions with the ANAO. You will be supported by a capable EL2.They are keen to engage you via an s26 transfer or long-term non-ongoing contracts. Baseline security clearances are necessary for this department. There are 2 roles on offer: an APS5 or 6, and an EL1.The organisation advocates for flexibility at work, offering up to 3 days WFH. Culture is very important, and they are determined to maintain a supportive and inclusive team and workplace.
Your Skills and Experience:You are an Australian Citizen with previous Federal/local Government finance experience and exposure to the Government monthly financial reporting process. Your communication skills are excellent, allowing you to develop relationships within a finance team and the wider business.At the APS5 level, you have had some exposure to supporting the technical EOM/EOFY delivery. At the APS6/EL1 levels, these are technical and leadership positions, and you must be confident in your ability to lead a team in the development and delivery of financial statements.At the EL1 level, it is likely that you will be fully qualified (CA/CPA). A baseline security clearance is also necessary for this role.
