The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare.
As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability.

The NDIA is currently seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join us as an APS4 Parliamentary and Ministerial Support Officer.
The Parliamentary and Ministerial Branch plays an important role in the provision of high-quality ministerial products, coordinating NDIA's involvement in senate estimates and other parliamentary committee processes and undertakes business analysis and reporting.
Where you can add value The APS4 Parliamentary and Ministerial Support Officer will be required to provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in Parliamentary and Ministerial areas and may undertake some research and analysis activities.
The role will require some contact with internal and external stakeholders and may be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of Parliamentary and Ministerial matters in response to enquiries.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Assisting with the coordination of parliamentary processes including NDIA appearances at senate estimates, committee hearings and Questions on Notice.
Managing a shared mailbox including allocating tasks.
Coordinating and tracking Questions on Notice and senate briefs using Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS).
Coordinating, drafting and quality checking Briefs, Ministerial Correspondence, Questions on Notice and Senate Briefs using the Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS).
Contributing to the branch's corporate work program, reporting requirements and assist deliver branch governance obligations.

This role will be performed at the Deakin, ACT office.
Parliamentary and Ministerial Branch staff are often required to attend Parliament House.
We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions (ongoing and non-ongoing) within the next 18 months.
Successful candidates must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance and will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
