$76,277 - $83,274 + up to 15.4% Superannuation Russell - ACT The Role The successful applicant will work within a small team within the Business Directorate part of the Hunter Class Frigate (HCF) Branch.
They applicant will need to work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member, while growing their own knowledge and skills as part a fast moving shipbuilding project.
The work will include project support tasks such as administration and coordination of project documentation, email and records management and providing one on one technical support to all levels of project staff.
The role provides excellent development opportunities for you to apply technical, operational, professional and administrative activities, procedures, practices while working with an integrated Australian Defence Force, Australian Public Service and contracted workforce.
The applicant will work with multiple stakeholders across Defence and Defence Industry Partners.
They will need to contribute to the ongoing application of project planning and scheduling while taking the initiative to progress work to meet business objectives.
About our Team The function of the Business team is to deliver business support services to the Hunter Class Frigate (HCF) Branch and broader Naval Shipbuilding Enterprise that aligns with the SEA 5000 Prime Contract and is in accordance with Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment requirements, Defence Policy and International Agreements.
The Business team apply an innovative approach in order to implement streamlined operations and support current and future requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
The Business team support functions include the management and provision of Information and Technology Services, Technology Control, Security Management, Human Resources Administration and Quality control functions.

In order to provide high quality support the successful candidate will: Have a strong work ethic; Work well in a team environment; Have a keen eye for detail; The ability to support a range of project activities and coordinate project inputs in accordance with organisational practices, methods and standards appropriate to the complexity of the project; Adaptability, resilience and flexibility in the face of changing priorities and be open to learning new things and willing to assist other teams; Have good communication skills; Be able to multi-task in order to meet deadlines; Have experience maintaining stakeholder relationships to deliver and negotiate outcomes with varying ranks/levels; and Provide advice on capability or project proposals.
The ideal candidate will be capable of working both autonomously and in a team environment.
