Robert Walters Federal Government team are working with a large number of Federal Government departments, to provide experienced and skilled APS4-EL2 Policy specialists for permanent and non-ongoing positions.
Your New role:
We are working with a number of Federal Government departments across Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
The duties and responsibilities in this role are inclusive but not limited to the following:
Engage with a key policy area/s, supporting subject matter experts and others involved in policy development to understand and analyse relevant information and consider government policy context to develop informed options and advice.
Contribute to the development of strategic policy initiatives in one or more areas.
Use domestic and international evidence, stakeholder perspectives and the knowledge of departmental staff to develop options to address complex policy issues.
Test and refine options based on feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
Guide and mentor staff to enable them to apply new methods, tools and presentation methodologies to improve their strategic thinking.
Deliver products that advance strategic approaches to current policy priorities
What you'll need to succeed;
To be successful, you will have demonstrated experience working in the Policy/ Governance field within a Government environment. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience in a similar capacity is required.
These roles are only open to Australian Citizens and candidates must be willing to undertake all onboarding requirements, such as a National Police checks.
Some roles may require candidates to obtain and maintain a AGSVA Security Clearance of a Baseline or NV1 clearance.
