Feature Role: APS4 Divisional Materials Manager – Ballarat Job ID: 281024B Location: Regional Victoria – Ballarat Duration: Fixed term starts 11th November 2024 ends 30th June 2025 Salary: $73,821 pa pro rata + 15.4% Superannuation Note: To be eligible for consideration, you must apply and attend a Virtual Interview Applications Close: Strictly at 12pm on Friday 1st November, 2024* The role will be based at the Out-posted Centre (OPC), a warehouse which is used as the centre of the Major Federal Government event activities for the duration of the project.
The OPC is the location where all materials are receipted, prepared, processed, stored and dispatched, as well as the location where the project finalises.
Key Responsibilities and requirements for the divisional materials manager include: The Site Manager is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the OPC site.
The role also performs the duties of Work, Health and Safety Officer.
Manage all set up and facilities requirements for the OPC.
Communicate with external providers regarding the provision of services for the OPC including cleaning, waste management, staff amenities supplies, connection of utilities, security personnel etc.
Manage the set-up and maintenance of furniture and equipment including all IT equipment.
Liaise with key activity managers and supervisors to ensure the OPC set-up is fit-for-purpose for activities to be conducted on any given day in terms of layout and non-secure materials required.
Lead the management and organisation of non-secure OPC materials to ensure preparation for and access to during key activities.
Prior experience contributing to the delivery of projects, with the ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment, with extended hours under pressure.
Highly organised, able to successfully and independently complete allocated tasks as part of a team.
General knowledge regarding WHS principles with a commitment to provision of a safe workplace.
