We are looking to fill APS 4 and APS 5 Project Support Officer vacancies on a labour hire/non ongoing/s26 basis within the Federal Government. Minimum Baseline Clearance preferred, or ability to obtain. Full Australian Citizen Working Rights required. Labour Hire/Non-Ongoing/s26 available We are seeking individuals with a proven background in the Australian Public Service with project/program experience, or administrative experience working within a Project space. Candidates are required to operate in a fast paced and changing environment, add value through their effective communication skills, stakeholder engagement and display drive and initiative. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a high-profile Federal Government client and support senior Project Managers and Executives in their mission to serve the Australian people.
The primary focus of the APS 4/5 Project Support Officer is to provide high level project/program support to the team, such as:
Providing support for project coordination, procurement and budget management Undertaking contract management, including monitoring and reviewing deliverables provided by external groups/organisations Assisting in monitoring and evaluating evidence to support the development of best practice guidelines Supporting communication initiatives Contributing to the preparation of high-quality plans, reports and briefing materials Coordinating project deliverables in line with organisational policies and processes Organising meetings and undertaking secretariat duties Liaising with internal and external stakeholders. The APS 4/5 Project Support role is best suited to candidates who have:
Australian Citizenship required for Federal Government Minimum Baseline Clearance preferred. Experience in providing project/program support Understands, supports, and promotes the strategic direction of the team in alignment with objectives. Commits to achieving quality outcomes and sees projects through to completion whilst remaining responsive and positive to changes in requirements. Builds and sustains positive relationships with team members and stakeholders. Displays and promotes ethical behaviour in accordance with the APS Code of Conduct, APS values and APS Employment Principles. Confidently presents messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner, and selects the most appropriate medium for conveying information.
