The Land Transport Infrastructure Division (LTID) plays a key role in managing the Australian Government's over $120 billion Infrastructure Investment Program (IIP). Our work connects, and enriches every Australian community, underpins our economy and society, and empowers our regions. We provide strategic policy advice and deliver programs, projects and infrastructure that touch the lives of every Australian through the reduction of road trauma and by improving travel times and freight connectivity. Our work has a high profile, with high levels of engagement with our Ministers, their offices and central agencies.

You will be joining the Division at an exciting time as the Australian Government repositions its approach to infrastructure investment. The Australian Government, in collaboration with the state and territories, is embarking on a process of reform to support a more sustainable pipeline of investment and a productive construction sector.

The Division provides policy advice to Government and works closely with state and territory governments, and Infrastructure Australia, to support the delivery of nationally significant infrastructure projects that drive productivity and social development.
LTID is comprised of the following branches:
Program Policy and Budget Branch; NSW, ACT Infrastructure Investment & Program Governance + Assurance; QLD/NT/WA Branch; VIC/TAS/SA Branch; Infrastructure Investment Reform Branch; and RPM Taskforce. The opportunity we have available
We are looking for an enthusiastic, responsive and detail driven team member to fill an upcoming APS3 vacancy in the Victorian Urban Infrastructure Investment Section. The ideal applicant will have the ability to work flexibly and be a natural collaborator who can work with people with different perspectives to find common ground.

What will you do? 
You will be responsible for supporting the Victoria Urban team in the oversight of Australian Government funded infrastructure projects and associated administrative tasks.

The role of an APS3 Project Officer within the Victoria Urban team includes: 
Administrative support to staff at higher classification levels for small land transport infrastructure projects, and contributing to the planning and implementation of projects within the team. Interpreting, drafting and reviewing material within work area, such as joint media releases, website updates, and Ministerial correspondence. Liaising with other sections and external stakeholders to make milestone payments to the Victorian Government as part of monthly reporting processes. Providing high quality and timely input to briefings and requests for information, under the supervision of staff at higher classification levels. Resolving straightforward enquiries from stakeholders and providing information and advice as a representative of the work area. Who are we looking for?

Citizenship: To be eligible for employment with the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts applicants must be an Australian citizen.
