APS3 National Police Checking Service, Support Officer, Canberra - Casual Employment Register The National Police Checking Service (NPCS) within the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) are always on the lookout for talented individuals seeking casual/intermittent or flexible hours. Our NPCS casuals manage secondary clearance activities.
These activities assist in the processing of criminal history checks by resolving the identity of the persons of interest who have matched against national police records in National Policing Information (NPI) Systems.
Working within a dynamic team environment, individuals will be required to have good communication and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines and key performance indicators (KPIs). Successful candidates must have the ability to use strategic and analytical thinking to make match decisions and will be required to perform tasks autonomously with minimal supervision. They will be required to have sound computer literacy skills, and the ability to work across multiple IT platforms including the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
These roles include flexible and intermittent working arrangements, and the successful candidates will be paid an hourly rate equivalent to an ACIC APS level 3, plus loading and superannuation.

About the Casual Employment Register
This register is open for candidates to express interest in casual employment opportunities with the NPCS within the ACIC. This register enables ACIC to access appropriately skilled and experienced individuals at short notice. Please note there is no guarantee that an offer of employment will be made while an application remains on the register. You will only be contacted if a vacancy arises that suits your attributes, skills, and experience. Your application will be considered until 29 January 2025.
