Salary: $67,339 - $74,197 + up to 15.4% SuperannuationLocation: Port Wakefield - SAThe RoleJoint Proof & Experimental Unit (JPEU) is an integral part of Explosive Ordnance Branch within Joint Logistics Command, tasked with providing dynamic, static, and environmental test and evaluation services to the Australian Defence Organisation.JPEU consists of two Ranges, Proof and Experimental Establishment (P&EE) Graytown VIC, and P&EE Port Wakefield SA, as well as a Headquarters spread across both sites.We are seeking a motivated person to perform the role of the Logistics Store Person within the Q-Store at Port Wakefield.The successful candidate will:Perform governance duties on logistics inventory management activities.Deliver logistics inventory management.Understand inventory management processes and practices.Possess strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills, able to build positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.Build and sustain effective relationships with team members.Take the initiative to learn and comply with logistics procedures, legislation, policy, and regulatory frameworks.About our TeamThe logistics Q Store teams provide support for operational activities at the Joint Proof & Experimental Unit (JPEU). The Q Store team functions are critical to the supply chain at JPEU. The team provides warehousing and distribution support, as well as governance of unit-owned equipment through mandated programs such as cyclic stocktaking and ROMAN asset counts.We work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure they are supported in all their logistics requirements, including the procurement of equipment from commercial suppliers. Q Stores also work closely with other support sections to maintain calibrated equipment for use on the range. Q Store teams operate on various IT systems such as the Military Integrated Logistic Information System (MILIS), SharePoint, and Objective.Employment at Port Wakefield attracts a Special Defence Locality Allowance of approximately $309.85 per fortnight.Our Ideal CandidateOur ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills, able to build positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders (including but not limited to Range Operations, Range Services, and Workshops).Provide hands-on support to process the explosive ordnance required for Test and Evaluation activities.Willingness to learn and develop knowledge and understanding of logistics practices and processes.The right person for this role will show the flexibility to respond to the changing context and shifting priorities of JPEU to achieve business outcomes.
